29 APPRENTICES START AT L.I.T. GROUP: NUMBER OF NEWLY HIRED JUNIOR STAFF RISES TO RECORD LEVEL.

Under the guidance of our training department,
the 29 career starters get to know the company and each other
during the introductory days.

To mark the start of their professional lives, the L.I.T. Group today welcomed 29 apprentices at its headquarters in Brake. This increases the number of newly hired junior staff at the logistics specialist to a record level. 21 aspiring freight forwarding and logistics services clerks, five warehouse logistics specialists, one female professional driver and one IT specialist for application development, as well as one for system integration, are starting their apprenticeships at L.I.T. this year. All newcomers will spend the first two days at the headquarters in Brake to get to know the company and its processes. Afterwards, they will begin their apprenticeships at one of the 33 L.I.T. Locations in Germany.

MORE APPRENTICES THAN EVER BEFORE

»This year, we have more new apprentices than ever before. It proves worthwhile that we put a lot of passion into both our training program and making contact with young people,« says Astrid Jonat, Head of Training at L.I.T. AG. The company's commitment to recruiting young talent is also reflected in the "TOP Training Company" seal of approval from the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK Oldenburg), with which L.I.T. was honored last year.

To mark the start of their professional lives, the new apprentices first gather in Brake for two days. The aim is to familiarize the junior staff with the company's internal processes and programs. At the same time, the introductory days serve to get to know each other and to network across Locations. Each career starter is assigned a personal mentor from the second year of apprenticeship even before the training begins. »It greatly facilitates the start if our apprentices have a contact person who was in the same situation not too long ago,« says Jonat. After the introduction, the apprentices start at nine different Locations of the logistics service provider.

During their apprenticeship, the junior staff pass through various departments within the company. There, they are directly involved in practical work. In the first year of apprenticeship, L.I.T. also supports the aspiring specialists in an intensive training week, which includes, for example, presentation techniques as well as work and time management. They are closely supervised throughout the entire period by the training officers and the head of training. With good performance, an internship at one of the L.I.T. Locations abroad is also possible. For relaxation outside of everyday work, the company also offers numerous sports activities and organizes joint events such as barbecues or "Kohlfahrten" (cabbage tours).
