After three years of preparation and uncertainty as to whether such an event could take place due to the Corona pandemic, the first "DIGITAL COMMERCE SUMMIT NORDWEST" was held last Thursday (May 5) at GVZ Bremen. It was a complete success!
L.I.T. AND CREDITREFORM WELCOME 150 GUESTS As organizers, the L.I.T. Group, together with Creditreform, was able to welcome approximately 150 participants to the L.I.T. Logistics Center (LLC).
In twenty keynotes, discussion rounds, best practice examples, and presentations of innovative services, current trends, technologies, and challenges in Digital Commerce were presented and discussed.
HOW DOES DIGITAL COMMERCE AFFECT LOGISTICS?
Our CEO Fokke Fels, together with Thimo Schulz, Head of L.I.T. Warehousing & Logistics, participated in the opening round and discussed how "typical" competitive relationships in Digital Commerce, and especially in logistics, could be overcome through new forms of cooperation.
Board member Simeon Breuer was a panel guest discussing the future of eCommerce. How will it develop? What economic and social relevance will it have in the future? And are we actually prepared for it?
In addition to many interesting aspects, the first DCSN 2022 thrived primarily on the great atmosphere at the L.I.T. Warehousing & Logistics location in the Freight Village (GVZ). With excellent sunny weather, two food trucks and a convivial atmosphere created with containers and lounge furniture invited guests to linger and network. Another highlight was the guided tours through the AutoStore, our automated small parts warehouse.
At the end of the day, Thimo Schulz looked back on a successful summit: "For L.I.T., the DIGITAL COMMERCE SUMMIT NORDWEST was a complete success. We were very pleased to be hosts and were able to establish interesting contacts. I believe that the Summit, with its topics and networking opportunities, has become a truly interesting platform for companies in the logistics and eCommerce sectors and a starting signal for interesting coopetitions."
