L.I.T. Group expands in Southern Europe and extends its intermodal network.

Blue skies, Mediterranean flair – and plenty of action in between: Since June 2024, L.I.T. has been operating on the Iberian Peninsula with great commitment, clear focus, and strong team spirit. With two Locations in northeastern Spain, the colleagues are building a dynamic logistics operation.
The small team of L.I.T. Iberian Forwarding S.R.L. in Tarragona, consisting of Marc Guery and Munni Martin, specializes in ISO tank and container transport. Under the leadership of Oscar Verdu, they apply their strengths daily to ensure seamless logistics processes for clients in Spain, Portugal, France, and beyond.
Marc Guery is the organizational backbone of the operation, ensuring a balanced relationship between clients, service providers, and internal systems. »Our target group includes tank and container operators, leasing companies, petrochemical producers and traders, as well as manufacturers from the food industry,« Marc Guery summarizes the client spectrum.
Munni Martin, the newest member of the team, perfectly complements this structure: she is the central point of contact for the many service providers based in Spain and coordinates client-specific inquiries. As Managing Director, Oscar Verdu bridges the gap between office administration, client discussions, and communication with business partners and the headquarters in Brake.
Intermodal and Sustainable Approach
In the first business year, the focus was on building a reliable network for ISO tank transport on the Iberian Peninsula and beyond. Container logistics now complements this offering. An important focus is on intermodal transport, meaning the combination of different modes of transport. Whether by truck or rail – whenever possible, the most sustainable solution is preferred for the client.
Typical routes such as Valencia–Madrid, Antwerp–Barcelona, or Algeciras–Valencia demonstrate the versatility of the network. Goods transported include Bourbon, olive oil, wine, polyolefins, and other petrochemical and food-grade products, which are loaded into ISO tanks and then shipped.

Whether Bourbon, olive oil, or chemical products: With intelligent networking and reliable partners, we connect regional products with global supply chains.
Economic Goals with Foresight
Current conditions are challenging, as in many industries. »The global economy presents us with challenges. Events such as wars, US tariffs, or strikes have direct impacts on our clients – and thus on us,« says Oscar Verdu about the daily challenges in the transport market, which he and his team have successfully overcome so far. Despite geopolitical crises and economic fluctuations, the team in Tarragona has already reached its first milestone: »We have reached profitability in our first year. Our focus is now on healthy growth, expanding our service offering, and strengthening international client relationships,« explains Oscar Verdu, outlining the strategic vision and next goals.
Part of this strategy is to improve collaboration with other L.I.T. Locations. »We want to expand our container logistics capacities. Intermodal transport, such as shipments from India to Barcelona by sea and then by rail, should become a permanent part of our daily business. For this purpose, we are in regular exchange with our branches in Turkey and India. Cross-selling must become part of daily work to offer our clients the best possible service,« explains Oscar Verdu. Continuous coordination ensures that everyone works together – even across borders.
Expansion of Road & Logistics Iberia
In addition to strengthening international collaboration, another focus is on consolidating Spain as a national transport market. »The domestic market has enormous potential, and we see significant opportunities in building our own structures,« explains Oscar Verdu. To achieve this goal, collaboration with the sister company L.I.T. Transport & Logistics S.L., based in Zaragoza, will be significantly intensified.
From its Location in PLAZA – Europe's largest logistics platform – the company operates at the heart of Spain's economic centers. The Zaragoza branch offers a wide range of services, including full and partial load transport, distribution solutions, industry-specific concepts (e.g., for the wood, steel, food, and textile industries), as well as special equipment for individual client requirements. National and international transport are covered both with own resources and through long-standing partnerships, ensuring the flexibility and reliability of the services.
The team currently consists of seven experienced professionals. Under the leadership of Javier López, the operations department, with four employees, manages daily transport flows. David Zamora drives business development, focusing on new client acquisition and expanding existing business. Pilar Ros plays a key role in ensuring smooth processes in her dual function as administrative and project manager. »Their local know-how and operational expertise are crucial for us. By consistently combining our strengths, we aim to offer integrated services in both branches,« emphasizes Verdu.
The strategic goal from autumn 2025 is clear: to offer clients a comprehensive service portfolio that combines international reach with strong national implementation. What began on the Iberian Peninsula in Spain with a small team is gradually developing into a significant part of the international L.I.T. network. The combination of client proximity, intermodal expertise, and strong personal commitment makes the Location a real asset: for the region, for the network, for the entire group of companies.
