KLAAS LANGE IS THE NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE CZECH L.I.T. COMPANY: TRANSPORT COMPANY ESTABLISHES HOMEGROWN TALENT AS NEW EXECUTIVE

The Czech company L.I.T. Ceska republika s.r.o. has a new management: Klaas Lange has been managing the business in the eastern neighboring country since July 1. The 34-year-old officially takes over from Simeon Breuer, who had already handed over operational tasks to his successor last year. Lange, who completed his apprenticeship at L.I.T. AG, will focus with his five-member team at the Mělník and Kutná Hora locations on expanding national and international land transport – including intermodal transport. He himself will operate from the company headquarters in Brake, where he is responsible for business development, including sales, and project management for L.I.T. Speditions GmbH.

»Klaas Lange has already proven himself in several responsible positions and is now one of our established executives. The promotion is therefore the next logical step and a sign of his excellent work,« says Simeon Breuer, Managing Director of L.I.T. Speditions GmbH and Board Member of the L.I.T. Group. Lange took over the operational business from Breuer last year. With the official change, Klaas Lange now has »greater scope for action,« according to Breuer.

With the new Managing Director, the Czech market, which Breuer describes as very interesting, is to be further developed: »The Czech Republic has grown into a big player among European industrial locations. The country is particularly attractive for the Automotive industry.« Breuer sees opportunities, especially in the multitude of local suppliers, to expand L.I.T.'s intermodal business and shift more transports to rail. Currently, the company, together with rail logistics provider Captrain Deutschland GmbH and the joint venture SmartRail Logistics GmbH, operates three trains per week, transporting automotive components from suppliers in North Bohemia, Southern Poland, Saxony, and Thuringia from Dresden to a renowned automotive manufacturer in Emden. Additionally, L.I.T. Ceska republika s.r.o., founded by Breuer in 2014, has its own fleet consisting of megatrailers and swap bodies. While this is to be significantly expanded in the medium term, the branch draws on L.I.T. AG's total fleet of 1,100 vehicles to meet the needs of its major customers. The branch also plans to broaden its personnel base in the future.

Klaas Lange began his career in 2006 with an apprenticeship as a forwarding and logistics services merchant at L.I.T. AG and, after successful completion, moved to L.I.T. International Forwarding Ltd. in Great Britain as a transport manager for JIT lines. In 2012, he completed his professional education with a degree as a state-certified business economist at the Deutsche Außenhandels- und Verkehrs-Akademie in Bremen, followed by studies at Oxford Brookes University. He has been working for L.I.T. AG again since 2016.
