Start of the new training year at our headquarters in Brake

At the L.I.T. Group, 43 apprentices have started their careers in logistics. This year, a dual student also begins her studies in the "Business in Practice" program. Our Executive Board personally welcomed the junior staff. The new training year consists of four professional drivers, three warehouse specialists, seven specialists in Contract Logistics, five office management clerks, 20 clerks for freight forwarding and logistics services, and two IT specialists each for application development and system integration. The aspiring professionals spent the two-day introductory event at our headquarters in Brake to gain an insight into the company. Afterwards, they will commence their work at one of the twelve out of a total of 20 training Locations.
“Our mission is to inspire young people for logistics and our group of companies. We have succeeded in doing this once again this year: with a total of 43 new apprentices and one dual student. We are very pleased that our training concept is so well received by young talents and that we can continue to grow together with them,” says Astrid Jonat, Head of Training at L.I.T. AG. We currently employ a total of 105 apprentices at 20 Locations. To convince potential junior staff of the advantages of a career path with us, Jonat and her training team are increasing their presence at training fairs and career orientation days in schools. “This allows us to engage in personal exchange and to present their opportunities and benefits at L.I.T. as a modern training company first-hand,” says Jonat.
After the junior staff had been welcomed by Executive Board members Fokke Fels, Julian Lachnitt and Ingo Schreiber, as well as the training team on their first day, there was a tour of the Brake headquarters. During this, they did not only get to know individual departments but also came into direct contact with the other training cohorts, who, for example, could instruct them in the L.I.T. apprentice truck. The program included, among other things, a photo shoot and a joint lunch. On the second day, fundamental training sessions such as IT and telephone training, as well as quality management seminars, were on the agenda for the newcomers. To ensure successful onboarding, the young talents are provided with training mentors who will assist them with advice and support over the next few months.
Interested individuals still have the opportunity to apply for an apprenticeship at L.I.T. this year. Among other things, there are still vacant training positions for male and female clerks for freight forwarding and logistics services, as well as for specialists in Contract Logistics. For the next training year, we aim to continue our growth course. A total of 50 young talents are then to be hired. In addition to the new apprenticeship as a personnel services clerk, a dual study program at the NSB Nordic Sky Business School in Brake is also available again. Applications for 2024 are possible immediately.
