L.I.T. AND HÖLKEMEIER SPEDITION BUNDLE EXPERTISE: "Through the collaboration with the L.I.T. Group, we are now able to conquer international markets."

Jointly driving the internationalization of both
logistics companies forward in the future:
Axel Schleef, L.I.T. Group,
and Lars Hölkemeier, Hölkemeier Spedition

The L.I.T. Group integrates Hölkemeier Spedition GmbH, headquartered in Minden with branches in Porta Westfalica, Bad Oeynhausen, and Vlotho, into its corporate group. Both companies are now bundling their expertise to jointly drive national and international growth. The L.I.T. Group is also strengthening its presence in Ostwestfalen and expanding its Transport Logistics network there. The logistics specialist has been represented with a branch in Minden for 30 years. Hölkemeier Spedition will continue to operate under its own name and with its proven team as an independent business unit of the L.I.T. Group.

Lars Hölkemeier,
Managing Director of Hölkemeier Spedition GmbH

“Previously, we primarily acquired customers at a regional level. Through the collaboration with the L.I.T. Group, we are now able to conquer international markets,” says Lars Hölkemeier, Managing Director of Hölkemeier Spedition GmbH, who will continue to hold this position. Axel Schleef now supports him as the second Managing Director, who, among other roles, serves as Operations Manager at L.I.T. Lager & Logistik GmbH.

Hölkemeier's core business remains warehousing and the transport of partial and full loads, especially for companies in the SHK (Sanitary/Heating/Air Conditioning), steel, mechanical engineering, and trade sectors. The goal of both companies now is to expand the customer base in these industries, as Axel Schleef explains: “The collaboration brings synergy effects from which customers primarily benefit. By expanding the service portfolio with, for example, air and sea freight, we will become increasingly attractive to international companies in the SHK, steel, mechanical engineering, and trade sectors.” The forwarding company contributes 100,000 square meters of logistics space, semi-trailer trucks, swap body vehicles, and approximately 60 trailers to the L.I.T. Group.

To account for the growth trajectory in Ostwestfalen, L.I.T. also moved into a new office building in Minden at the beginning of the year. The 1,000 square meter complex on Magdeburger Straße in the PĂ€pinghausen industrial area can accommodate up to 70 employees of the company. A major advantage of the new location is its proximity to the RegioPort Weser container port, with connections to ship, rail, and truck traffic. Additionally, the headquarters of Hölkemeier Spedition is located in the immediate vicinity.
