The L.I.T. Group welcomes 37 new junior staff with a joint day at its headquarters in Brake (Unterweser).
Brake (Unterweser)
The Executive Board of the L.I.T. Group welcomed 37 new junior staff on Monday for the first day of their training. 21 aspiring freight forwarding and logistics services specialists, seven warehouse logistics specialists, three professional drivers, two office management specialists, one personnel services specialist, one IT specialist for application development, one for system development, and one dual student in the "Business Administration in Practice" degree program are starting their professional future with the logistics specialist. All new junior staff will first undergo a two-day introduction at the company headquarters in Brake before beginning their practical training at one of the total of 26 German L.I.T. training locations.
»Even though the general decline in trainees presents a challenge for many companies, we were once again able to fill all training positions. And we did so with applicants who impressed us with strong performance,« says Melanie Kalla, HR Officer for Training at the L.I.T. Group,
She adds: »This shows that we remain an attractive training company and consistently ensure high training quality. We are particularly pleased that this year two of our graduates completed their examinations with the grade 'very good'. The office management specialist and the freight forwarding and logistics services specialist are among the few who are honored by the IHK Oldenburg. This is a great testament to what is possible with us.« Today, 36 trainees and one dual student started their professional future at the L.I.T. Group. This keeps the number of junior staff at a stable level. In total, approximately 137 young talents are currently undergoing training at the logistics company.
TWO-DAY INTRODUCTION PROGRAM
The new trainees start with two joint days at the headquarters in Brake. Executive Board members Fokke Fels, Simeon Breuer, Julian Lachnitt, and Ingo Schreiber welcomed the newcomers together with the training team and introduced them to the operational structures and company-specific systems.
The first day, the so-called "Welcome Day", was organized by the third-year trainees, who helped the newcomers to get to know each other, the corporate group, and the various departments. The program included, among other things, a visit to the L.I.T. trainee truck, get-to-know-you games, and a joint lunch. This concept supports the new trainees in their exciting start to professional life and was awarded third place by the Nordwest Mediengruppe in 2024 as part of the Prize for Innovative Training (PIA).
On the second day, the new junior staff undergo important basic training, including IT and telephone training, as well as an introduction to quality management.
START AT 26 LOCATIONS WITH PERSONAL SUPPORT
After the introductory days, the new trainees begin their training at a total of 26 locations of the logistics company. They are supported by a proven mentoring program. Nele Grenzebach, HR Officer for Training, explains: „All career starters receive a personal contact person from the second year of training even before the start of their training, who accompanies them during the first two months of the acclimatization process. This helps the trainees to find their way around the company much faster.“
L.I.T. also accepts applications after the start of training. Currently, training positions for freight forwarding and logistics services specialists are available in Norden, Polch, and Stavenhagen.
