L.I.T. DEMONSTRATES TEAM SPIRIT AT TOUGH MUDDER MUD OBSTACLE COURSE

A clean performance – though not in the literal sense – is regularly shown by the L.I.T. team at the extreme obstacle race Tough Mudder. In 2019, colleagues from the Bremen and Brake Locations once again threw their inhibitions overboard and engaged in a veritable mud battle at Hof Severloh in Hermannsburg. After the very first obstacle, it was clear: the group shirts had been pearl white for the longest time. Because it was straight to business. Under barbed wire, the team crawled through the mud, jumped into ice-cold muddy water, and climbed wooden walls like the »Berlin Wall« and ramps titled »Everest«.

Teamwork was paramount. Because alone, the colleagues would not have successfully overcome all obstacles. True to the L.I.T. motto: Together for success! It quickly developed into a ritual to wait for each other after every hurdle and then collectively commit to the next station. Even pushing wheelbarrows or carrying each other piggyback required collaborative work and the necessary portion of trust in a colleague's stability.

As a reward, there was a T-shirt, a headband, and one or two cold drinks. The best part, however – and there was a winking consensus among everyone – was the shared success of leaving numerous teams miles behind in the mud. The colleagues have set this goal for future competitions as well. »Since the mud obstacle course was so much fun, we are already eyeing the route three times as long for next time,« reveals Mark Bruns, who participated in Tough Mudder for the first time in 2019. He hopes that courageous L.I.T. employees will continue to be found for both the long and the 5-kilometer routes.

One thing is certain: participation is worthwhile!

»That was a great team event. We are already looking forward to when we can start again!«
