L.I.T. RELIES ON RENEWABLE ENERGIES
We use the majority of the self-generated electricity for the power supply of the L.I.T. Group
Passenger and freight transport is responsible for a significant portion of global CO2 emissions. As a logistics service provider operating throughout Europe, we bear particular responsibility in this regard. Therefore, we cover approximately 80 percent of our demand with green electricity and also make our own contribution with the help of modern photovoltaic systems.
As an innovative and environmentally conscious company, we work daily to reduce our CO2 emissions. As part of our Lean and Green strategy, we do everything possible to act as environmentally friendly as possible with low-emission engines, optimized vehicle planning, and the training of our driving personnel. The entire concept aims to understand Sustainability not as a single buzzword, but to anchor it in the entire corporate philosophy.
However, the goal cannot and must not be to behave as little harmfully as possible. On the contrary, with what we do, we should create added value and always aim to give more than we take. A first step here are the four photovoltaic systems on the roofs of our logistics properties in Brake and Minden. We use a large part of the electricity produced here for our own power supply. Surplus electricity, on the other hand, is fed into the grid so that others can also benefit from it. If we need additional electricity, it also largely comes from renewable energy sources.
